Overview

Want to improve your game while having a ton of fun? Our camp offers you the chance to go deeper into the sport of basketball, from individual skills to team strategy to big picture development as a player. Led by Coach G and Coach Keefe, players will receive personalized and extensive one-on-one coaching on top of plenty of team games and team building exercises. We will focus on skills and drills, scrimmages, fine-tuning mechanics such as shooting form, learning core plays, schemes, and rotations, and watching film of NBA and college players executing the same plays at the highest levels. Join us to grow as a player, bond as friends, and become a better teammate!

Basketball Camp FAQs

What’s the schedule of an average day of Basketball Camp?
Camp runs each day from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Drop-off starts at 8:30 AM. Parents should pick their campers by 3:15 PM.

Where does the camp take place?
All activities take place on the Sparhawk grounds, mostly on the outdoor basketball court, where boys will engage in basketball drills and clinics, scrimmages, conditioning exercises, and teamwork challenges.

What should my son wear to camp?
Campers should dress in comfortable, warm-weather athletic attire and bring a bag lunch and drink from home.

What else does my son need to bring with him to camp?
As we will be outdoors for much of the camp, campers should bring plenty of water, sunscreen, and bug spray!

Do Basketball Camp t-shirts cost extra?
The price is included in the camp fee. Each camper will receive a Sparhawk Basketball Camp t-shirt on the first day of camp.

Camp Leadership

Joe Giallombardo teaches Craftsmanship, Physical Education, Science, and Speech at Sparhawk Academy. He has been Head Coach of the Middle School basketball team since 2021. Tom Keefe is the Director of Admissions and teaches History, Literature, and Music at Sparhawk Academy, where he also coaches basketball. Camp fee: $525 ($50 discount for currently enrolled Sparhawk students)
