January 2017

And so we launch. After many years of informal conversations in kitchens, at backyard barbeques, on the sidelines at soccer games, and in mall parking lots all over eastern Massachusetts, we – a group of experienced parents – have decided to pool our varied skills, resources and professional backgrounds and to act! We are undertaking to erect The Mill Brook School to assist parents in their critical role as the primary educators of their children. If you have ever engaged in conversations with family members, neighbors, friends, and/or work colleagues regarding the education of children, you are a natural ally with us in this exciting undertaking. We welcome you to help us!

We envision a school serving families with boys in grades three through eight taught by men who model the behavior and character traits we know will be essential for these boys to mature into responsible adults. Our vision is long-sighted (what type of men will the boys be when they are 30, 60 or 90 years old) and comprehensive (what type of men will they be in their marriage, in their parenting, in their workplace, in their relationship with God, in their intellectual life).

There is so much more to come, but I wanted to alert you to this wonderful initiative and invite you to join us in the ways that make the most sense for you: with prayers, with financial support, with spreading the word to other like-minded families.

Please keep an eye on this website as we build out our virtual presence and as we provide much more information about who we are, why we are enthusiastic about this opportunity, and how we see the future unfolding.

Forward!
