Woodworking & Craftsmanship

Woodworking & Craftsmanship

June 16th – 20th, 2025

*Max capacity for this camp is 18 boys*

For boys in rising grades 6 – 8
10am – 4pm

Overview

Artisan. Hand-crafted. Curated. Give your son the chance to discover with his own hands the joy and wonder of woodworking! With the help of closely guided instruction, the boys will build items to bring home and take pride in. On Monday, they will embark with little more than a design sketch, and by Friday they will be bringing home the fruits of their labor. Your son will learn the importance of focus, attention to detail, and dexterity as he creates something from scratch and picks up basic skills in using hand tools and integral materials. Each day will start by highlighting different crafts and craftsmen, and end with some fun and games at the beautiful Sparhawk grounds.

Past projects have included:

  • Adirondack chairs
  • Serving trays
  • Cornhole boards
  • Toolboxes
  • Slingshots
  • Ping pong paddles
  • Picture Frames
  • Insect boxes
  • Catapults
  • Treehouse construction
