Level up your computer skills with Typing & Computer Literacy Camp. Each day will include lessons on proper keyboard typing techniques as well as lessons on the following software applications: word processors such as Microsoft Word and Google Docs; spreadsheet editors such as Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets; presentation programs such as Microsoft Powerpoint and Google Slides and programming best practices.
The goal of this program is that students become comfortable using the computer for academic work.
Typing & Computer Literacy Camp FAQs
What’s the schedule of an average day of Typing & Computer Literacy Camp?
Camp runs each day from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM. Drop-off starts at 8:45 AM. Parents should pick their campers by 1:00 PM.
Where does the camp take place?
All camp activities will take place at Sparhawk Academy.
What should my son wear to camp?
Campers should dress in appropriate, comfortable, warm-weather attire.
What else does my son need to bring with him to camp?
As we will be outdoors for much of the camp, campers should bring plenty of water, sunscreen, and bug spray!
Do Typing & Computer Literacy Camp t-shirts cost extra?
The price is included in the camp fee. Each camper will receive a Sparhawk Summer Camp t-shirt on the first day of camp.
Camp Leadership
Ben Houde teaches Language Arts, Latin, Literature, and Music at Sparhawk Academy, where he also coaches soccer and baseball. Mr. Houde led a Wilderness trip last summer to Wyoming and Montana with students from Sparhawk and our brother school The Heights.
