Learn the fundamentals of the game from the backdoor cut and layup, to boxing out and scoring with the game on the line. Sharpen your skills for high-level competition or for beating your brother in the driveway. Campers learn challenging drills and play fun games and contests. Herb Grace, Sparhawk Academy’s head varsity basketball coach, brings years of competition and coaching experience to the basketball camp. In addition, emphasis will be placed on aspects of healthy sportsmanship: perseverance, optimism, unselfishness, and hard work. The Sparhawk Basketball Camp is a great place to play and prepare for the next level of competition.
Basketball Clinic FAQ
What’s the schedule of an average day of Basketball Camp?
Camp runs each day from 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM. Drop-off starts at 8:a5 AM. Parents should pick up their campers by 11:45 AM.
Where does the camp take place?
All activities take place at Sparhawk’s own basketball court.
What should my son wear to camp?
Boys should come dressed in basketball gear and bring a water bottle. They should be ready to play hard and be good sportsmen.
What else does my son need to bring with him to camp?
As we will be outdoors for much of the camp, campers should bring plenty of water and sunscreen!
Do Basketball Camp t-shirts cost extra?
The price is included in the camp fee. Each camper will receive a Sparhawk Camp t-shirt on the first day of camp.
